Body Image

I wrote this article for planning 10 and thought I should post it so people can see it.

Physical activity is such an important activity to make sure you are participating in regularly. Since teens are often very upset with their body image, exercising and physical activity are very important to maintain. Physical activity makes your body feel fresh and favorable.  The better you feel in your body, the better your mood will be.

Body image is a very touchable subject therefore this is my opinion.
Social networking has a very large impact on teenage girls. From looking at celebrities on Perez Hilton, to photos of thigh gaps, collar bones, and anorexic girls.  Many teenage girls take to the internet with the assumption that they need to be like the photo shopped, unhealthy adolescents. The way they accomplish this “so called” look is feeble. Which leads me to my point. If girls feel the need to “replicate” the internet, they can work out using exercise. Exercising helps you reach your goal while also strengthening your arms, legs, core, etc…  Obesity is also a rising problem in North America caused by depression, unhealthy lifestyles and unhealthy food options. Exercise and eating the right food will greatly solve your problems.

Core, biceps, triceps, obliques, and calves. Working your body, causing it to become healthy and strong. Building up your muscle mass and strengthening helps prepare your body for when you are elderly. If you take care of yourself when you are young, when you grow old you will be strong and healthy.

Your body is important and you need to maintain it so you can have a healthy lifestyle and feel comfortable in your own skin without being unhealthy.
